Meraki’s Electra Lake SUP Tour Named One of the Best Things to Do in Durango by TripOutside

We’re feelin’ the love and stoked to share that TripOutside just featured our Electra Lake paddleboard tour as one of the best things to do in Durango!

As a small, locally owned adventure company, it means the world when a platform like TripOutside—who shares our passion for conservation, Leave No Trace, and human-powered play—recognizes the experiences we work so hard to create.

The Beta on the Feature

TripOutside called our guided Electra Lake SUP tour “the lake tour legends are made of,” and honestly, we couldn’t agree more.

Electra is one of those tucked-away gems—only accessible with a local outfitter (hey, that’s us!)—and it’s got everything from alpine views to glacier-fed water that makes for an unreal paddle.

Here’s a snippet from what they had to say:

“Cold jumps, killer views, and wind-tested muscles. You’ll leave stoked, sun-kissed, and brimming with good vibes.”

Why This Tour is Different

We built this experience for anyone who wants to escape the crowds and get a dose of type 2 fun (don’t worry—it’s beginner-friendly too). Here’s what sets our Electra Lake SUP adventure apart:

  • Scenic stoke. Paddle beneath the towering Hermosa Cliffs with insane views of the Needles Range.

  • Cliff jumping (if you want). Send it or just chill—it’s your paddle, your pace.

  • No motorboats, no chaos. Just peace, paddles, and pow-clear water.

  • All gear included. We bring clean, top-notch SUPs and everything you need.

  • Dog- and kid-friendly. This is a choose-your-own-adventure kind of day.

And yes, we pack snacks. You know the drill.

Paddle with Purpose

We also love that TripOutside highlighted our commitment to recreating responsibly. As a Leave No Trace aware outfitter, we prioritize:

  • Lake-cleaning paddle protocols (no invasives on our watch),

  • Respect for the land and its stewards,

  • And education through experience, because we believe you protect what you love.

A Huge Thank You

To our paddlers—past, present, and future—thanks for showing up with open hearts and adventurous spirits. To TripOutside—thanks for the feature and for shouting out guides doing it right.

And if you’re new here and want in on the adventure, hit that booking link below and let’s get you out there.

See you on the water,Colin + the Meraki Crew

Live fully. Paddle often.
